I am currently working at Visiana ApS as director of development / CTO. In my current work and spare time, the focus is the development of solutions to real problems in society. This includes healthcare, infrastructure environment etc – pretty much anything unrelated to marketing and economics. Within my fields of interest I am drawn to challenges that others find difficult or impossible. To be able to overcome the obstacles, my academic career was focused on cross-disciplinary projects within natural sciences.

I have a PhD degree in the field of biomedical engineering and an MSc degree in computer science. Throughout the PhD,  work focused on understanding signals from the body and using these to quantify states of patients. I was therefore involved in many projects related to body signals and sensors such as ECG, EEG, EOG, ICP, body positioning and movement, medical image analysis as well user interfaces for some of these. The MSc degree included classical software engineering courses with the exception that all my elective points and projects revolved around machine learning and digital signal processing (text, audio, weather data, brain activity and images)

My spare time is mostly spent on family, but I still occasionally spend hours on supervising university students and developing apps/models/solutions for short term projects. Basically anything where effort can potentially make a long lasting impact for someone else.

Hey, try these two

Hi Adnan
Så står et nyt år for døren – og meget er sket i det gamle. Skønt at du kom i mål med phd-en. Håber at alt er vel hos dig og du er travlt beskæftiget med nye udfordringer.

Hello Mr. Adnan Vilic,

I am Ebru Sayilgan, a PhD student at the Department of Biomedical Technologies in İzmir Katip Celebi University in Turkey.

I would like to use your AVI SSVEP data set in my PhD thesis. You used the data set in your master thesis, I would like to examine your thesis if it is possible. Could you send me an electronic copy of your thesis?

Dear Ebru,

I am currently on holidays and traveling. I can send you parts of the dissertation in mid august.

Best regards,
Adnan
